The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has announced statistical estimates revealing the growth of Abu Dhabi’s gross domestic product (GDP) by 3.3 per cent during the first quarter of 2024 compared to the first quarter of 2023. This growth is attributed to the positive performance of non-oil economic activities.

The Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has launched the sixth cycle of the Statistical Maturity Index (SMI) project, which measures Abu Dhabi government entities’ capabilities in producing and disseminating statistics in adherence to SCAD's approved methodologies and standards.

The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has organised the Abu Dhabi Statistics Stakeholders Forum (ADSSF) for the year 2024, with the aim to enhance cooperation between the government and private sectors in the field of data. The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has reported that the population of Abu Dhabi has reached 3,789,860 people, an increase of 83 per cent compared to 2011, according to the primary results of the Abu Dhabi Census 2023, the first to be based entirely on the administrative registers. 

According to Abu Dhabi Census 2023 data, the population of Abu Dhabi has reached 3.8 million people, nearly doubling (an increase of 83 per cent) since 2011. This sustained upwards trajectory reflects the economic growth of the emirate.

The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has issued preliminary statistical estimates of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), revealing a strong performance of the non-oil economy, which recorded a remarkable growth of 9.1%, and 3.1% growth of Abu Dhabi’s real GDP during 2023 compared to 2022.

The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has reported a substantial 7.7% growth in the real non-oil GDP of Abu Dhabi during the third quarter of 2023, in comparison to the same period in 2022. This growth is attributed to the success of Abu Dhabi’s comprehensive strategies aimed at fortifying its standing as a prominent economic powerhouse.

The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has initiated a field survey in collaboration with the Gas Safety Committee led by the Department of Energy - Abu Dhabi to comprehensively understand the patterns and usage of gas in residential units and buildings across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra regions.
