A delegation from the Department of Statistics and Community Development – Sharjah visits SCAD

Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department and H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, the Director of the Department to discuss means of cooperation .
Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has received a delegation from the Department of Statistics and Community Development – Sharjah (DSCD) headed by H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department and H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, the Director of the Department to discuss means of cooperation .
During the visit, the delegation explored strategic programs at SCAD to develop the statistical ecosystem and the digital transformation projects in addition to the annual surveys and opinion polls.
In this context, H.E. Ahmed Mahmoud Fikri, the Director General of SCAD, commended DSCD’s efforts in the field of statistical training and the establishment of the training centre, which aims to support government departments in the Emirate of Sharjah. H.E. Fikri said that strategic partnerships are essential for supporting economic sustainability, and diversification through insightful data.
H.E. Ahmed Mahmoud Fikri said: “Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi embarked on a mission to develop an integrated statistical ecosystem that is supported with standardised methodologies and scientific foundations for providing reliable insights and to fulfil the statistical maturity.
HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, the Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development – Sharjah highlighted SCAD’s efforts in this regard, saying that the Department is looking forward to working with SCAD and exploring its experience in the field of the AI-based solutions that support decision-makers and the business community.
