The Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) participated in KEZAD Connect 2026, held on 12 and 13 October at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, showcasing how artificial intelligence, official statistics and responsible data partnerships can support industrial growth, investment planning and business competitiveness.

The Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) and Silal Group, a leading agri-food and technology company in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, have signed a Service Level Agreement to strengthen data exchange, develop statistical capabilities and support informed decision-making in Abu Dhabi’s agriculture and food sector.

The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has launched the Digital Economy Survey, a strategic initiative designed to strengthen the measurement of digital economic activity and provide a clearer picture of how technology, artificial intelligence and digital business models are contributing to Abu Dhabi’s economy.

The Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi and Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement discussed ways to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest, within the framework of the comprehensive revision of the Gross Domestic Product series, supporting the development of methodologies as well as knowledge and statistical frameworks. The cooperation also aims to enhance the quality of economic indicators that support decision making and strategic planning, within the respective mandates of each entity and in line with international best practices.

The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD), through its Statistical Training Institute, has graduated 22 Emirati students aged 16 to 19 from the sixth cohort of the Abu Dhabi Young Fellows of Statistics Programme.

The initiative reflects SCAD’s commitment to strengthening the quality, coherence, transparency, and international comparability of official economic statistics in line with evolving economic structures, improved data availability, and international statistical standards.

The Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) participated in the 20th International Association for Official Statistics (IAOS) Conference, held from 12 to 14 May 2026 in Vilnius, Lithuania, presenting Abu Dhabi’s experience in applying artificial intelligence, administrative data, and advanced methodologies to strengthen the role of official statistics in public decision-making.
