Strategic Plan

​​​​The Vision of Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) is aligned with the ambitious vision of the Government of the Emirate. In this context, SCAD seeks to match the standards of international statistical offices, in order to support development plans in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi through the production and dissemination of high-quality statistics that meet the needs of data users in terms of accuracy, timeliness and relevance.

Through the implementation of the Centre's new strategy plan for 2016-2020, which aims to develop the statistical system of Abu Dhabi Emirate in such a way as to put Abu Dhabi on a par with developed nations in ​area at the regional and international levels. SCAD is also working on the development of its administrative records databases and the integration of its components while implementing the current strategy. At the same time, the Centre​ will continue to develop its periodic surveys in pursuit of higher quality and cost-effectiveness.

The Centre will focus on the production of value-added statistics for users, and by improving the quality and implementing integrated methodologies across the statistical production process. In the meantime, the Centre will also be working the provision and management of innovative statistical services to data users.

SCAD will therefore work closely with partners, be they data users or producers towards forging sustainable business relations.

SCAD will also seek to take best advantage of advanced technologies to achieve efficiency and provide high-quality services, and, in fulfillment of its strategic objectives, the Centre continues to build the capacities of its staff and their competences so that they can achieve their potential in achievement of its future vision.
